Samsung will launch the first smartphone based on the platform Bada, who will be capacitive touchscreen phone “Super AMOLED” with the type Samsung GT-S8500 Wave. Super AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-emitting diode) technology provides better brightness than the traditional AMOLED display, and provide a better display in the sun, according to Samsung.

The Samsung GT-S8500 Wave is the first Bada-powered.The Wave is indeed the S8500, the first handset to receive Bluetooth SIG certification for the new Bluetooth 3.0 standard.

The Wave will offer a 3.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 1Ghz processor, 2GB storage space with MicroSD support, a 5 megapixel digital camera with flash and autofocus, 720p high definition video recording, DivX support, 3.5mm jack, 1500 mAh battery, Touchwiz 3.0 and HSDPA/WiFi b/g/n support.
